Governance

7min

Empowering our community through decentralized governance.

Voting Power

Voting will be split 50/50 between Treasure Key holders and veTRESR holders. The allocation of the vote will be split the same way that Bonus Pool rewards are split for these two variables.

  • Voting Pool 1: Cumulative Key Level in Wallet (50% of voting power)
    1. Sum of Key Levels in Wallet)/Sum of All Key Levels
  • Voting Pool 2: veTRESR Balance of Wallet (50% of voting power)
    1. Wallet ve/Total ve

This voting power structure incentivizes Treasure Key holders while still giving voting rights to those participating solely in the Bonus Pool (with the highest voting power to wallets who participate in both pools).

Remember, unstaking any amount of $TRESR sends your veTRESR balance to zero, which significantly impacts your voting power.

Community Governance Workflow

We are exploring a partnership for on-chain governance with https://www.stationx.network/ until this is implemented, the governance process is as follows:

Do you have a new idea that you think will benefit the NFTREASURE community? Read below to see how you can turn your idea into a community improvement proposal (CIP)!

[STEP 1]

Submit your idea using this form: [form]

[STEP 2]

Your idea will automatically be posted to the "💡|new-ideas" channel in Discord. Users will react to the idea with an up or down vote. Once the idea reaches >50 upvotes, it is eligible to become a community improvement proposal (CIP).

[STEP 3]

The proposer of the idea may now draft a CIP on their own or with other members of the community. All CIPs must be written in Google Docs and formatted according to the template posted here: https://docs.google.com/document/d/1VUDJEUqiFaEQ9IQmI-bEE9hmGH9SZVdGDdhHzutScJg/edit?usp=sharing. Once the draft is finalized, you will need to share the document with [email protected].

[STEP 4]

The elected project team will review the submission and then create a new post in the "💬┃discussions" forum in Discord. The community may now begin discussing the proposal in detail, and amendments to the draft can be made in real-time by the proposers. Once consensus is reached, the governance council will upload the CIP to Snapshot for an on-chain vote.

Idea Submission Guidelines

  1. Select the type of idea you are proposing: ✅ Modify Existing Feature ✅ Partnership or ✅ New Feature Request
  2. Summarize your idea in 3-4 sentences. Provide a high-level description of what your idea is trying to achieve.
  3. What specific problem is your idea attempting to solve? Be specific, this will help the community better understand your motivation for the proposal.
  4. How is your idea uniquely positioned to solve this problem? The more convincing your solution is, the more likely it will be passed via on-chain governance.
  5. What are some tangible measures of success for your idea? This will be important for the community to see the tangible benefits your idea provides over time.

Community Improvement Proposal (CIP) Template

Did your idea garner enough community support to become a CIP? Create a copy of the following template and edit it to include all the relevant details specific to your proposal. Please follow the instructions within the brackets carefully. Any drafts that do not follow the instructions will be instantly rejected and sent back for re-drafting.

Once you have completed the draft, you may share the document with [email protected]. The elected project team will review the submission within 15 days and send a response in Discord to inform you whether it has been accepted, accepted with revisions or denied.

All accepted CIPs will be posted in the "💬┃discussions" forum of Discord for further discourse and refinement prior to going on-chain for a Snapshot vote.
