The Bonus Pool is the mechanism used to fairly distribute $TRESR token.
Until all 12,000 keys are minted, only Treasure Key holders can participate in the Bonus Pool rewards by pulling on the levers listed below.
Once all keys are minted, the Bonus Pool will be opened to anyone wishing to stake TRESR, TRESR-AVAX-LP, or SMRTR-AVAX-LP. Keyholders will maintain a unique advantage in that the Bonus Pool is also weighted by a fourth lever: Cumulative Key Level.
Levers control the percentages that each token or key level contributes toward the total Bonus pool rewards earned. Over time, these levers will be adjusted based on the needs of the protocol.
## **Source of Rewards**
For \~1 year, the rewards paid to the Bonus Pool will be newly minted $TRESR. (remember: for the 1st year, the Key Rewards Pool and Bonus Pool rewards are newly minted by the Treasury)
After \~1 year, these minted emissions will end. Rewards will then be paid out via the Rewards Loop. This loop uses protocol fees and service commissions to purchase the $TRESR that is rewarded to the Bonus Pool.
***Hint:*** The Bonus Pool rewards in the future will fall or grow based on the success of the protocol and the total fees it brings in but for the first year, it is fully-funded by $TRESR minted by the Treasury. The Bonus Pool is a math game that fairly distributes protocol rewards.
The Treasure Key community may vote to adjust this structure for early payment or halting of minted emissions once protocol revenue exceeds expenses.
The Bonus Pool will slowly receive less and less minted $TRESR. As the marketplace and ancillary products and services become more and more successful, a percentage of e-commerce sales and agency revenue will become the primary source of Bonus Pool $TRESR.
After 12 months of gameplay, the Bonus Pool will be fed by a percentage of fees coming from marketplace transactions, e-commerce sales, new project mints, and agency services.

## **Rewards Loop**
**“But if the $TRESR money printer runs out of $TRESR when it hits its supply cap, how will the Bonus Pool continue to pay out $TRESR?”**
Good question.
When the marketplace has seen enough success, the NFTreasury will be earning from the various fee structures it has in place.
Those fees will be collected in $AVAX, $USDC, and other relevant cryptocurrencies.
A percentage of those fees will be used to purchase $TRESR tokens off the open market. We will use a system that prevents front-running or market manipulation.
After the first 12 months of gameplay, this purchased $TRESR will then be burned or distributed to the Bonus Pool based on each wallet’s pool percentage.
This allows the Treasury to utilize the $TRESR token as a way to capture and map value from the protocol. It then fairly distributes it to its decentralized community.
Since the supply of $TRESR will be capped, the only place to purchase $TRESR will be from those already holding it. This creates buying pressure in the liquidity pool.
The better the protocol does, the more users it should get.
The Bonus Pool consists of the following levers.

Each of these levers is part of the overall formula that determines your wallet’s percentage share of the Bonus Pool.
Each variable will be assigned a percentage allocation of the total Bonus Rewards pool. Participants will compete for a share of the rewards allocated to each variable.
Depending on how many players are taking different actions, the ROI on different variables will change. Actions that both you and other players take will impact your share of the Bonus Pool rewards.
When the Key Rewards Pool reaches its emissions limit or all $SMRTR has been burned, the $SMRTR/AVAX JLP will no longer be rewarded.
Long-term, Key Levels, TRESR-AVAX-LP, and veTRESR balance will have the largest allocations of the Bonus Pool.
The idea is to avoid a hostile takeover through large JLP purchases. Both veTRESR and Treasure Key Levels take time to achieve. A takeover would require Treasure Key holders (you) to unstake and sell to a hostile participant.
## **Suicide Compounding**
When a wallet suicide compounds, they are selling some of their $SMRTR and $TRESR tokens into the liquidity pool in order to buy $AVAX and form additional LP tokens.
**This is incredibly harmful to the ecosystem and akin to stealing from other community members.**
Those sold tokens can then be acquired by potentially hostile actors.
When $SMRTR/AVAX-LP stakers use their $TRESR rewards to single-side stake and earn veTRESR or provide $TRESR/AVAX-LP rather than selling half to suicide compound this risk is minimized.
The schedule below is an anticipated Bonus Pool allocation over 12 months. This may change with ample warning to adjust for healthy incentives. Major changes will be brought to a protocol vote.

One option you may be considering for gameplay would be to sell Bonus Pool emissions as they are earned.
*Warning*: The tokenomics are not written to reward this behavior long-term.
A suicide compounder or whale could sell a large position and reap a profit the first time they do this. But they lose something valuable when they unstake their $TRESR to dump on other community members.
When they sell their staked $TRESR, their veTRESR balance drops to zero. This significantly impacts the amount of $TRESR they’ll continue to earn from the Bonus Pool in the future.
Dumping staked $TRESR tokens simply means earning a smaller proportion of protocol rewards the next time. It's a strategy that becomes less lucrative with each attempt.
This short-term thinking doesn’t work out well over time given the tokenomics of the protocol.
The TRESR community is learning to think like successful crypto project leads. Sustainability and ecosystem health are encouraged to be front of mind. This long-term thinking will play into how each behavior or lever is weighted in the future.

**It’s important to keep in mind that: these levers will change over time.**
As time goes on, the weight at which each lever is valued shifts to incentivize different actions that are most beneficial for the protocol.
As a community-governed protocol, it’s important that we each discuss and debate strategies that account for these shifting levers.
Key Level may not hold the most weight in the short term but in the long term it will be weighted much more heavily.
Staking $SMRTR-AVAX-LP and $TRESR-AVAX-LP have higher incentives early on but will diminish in weight over time.

Because the Treasure Box Game is designed to get you to think like a successful crypto project lead.
Successful crypto project leads aren’t only concerned about short-term profits, they’re concerned about sustainability and growth over time.

## Boost Your Chances:
**Standard Boosts:** These are about achieving an individual target within your own wallet.
1. **Cumulative Key Level Boost:** Earn up to a 20% boost based on your cumulative key level. The maximum boost occurs at 30 times the average key level.
2. **veTRESR Boost:** Stake your TRESR tokens for up to a 15% boost. The more TRESR tokens you stake, the larger your boost.
3. **Treasure Tier Boost:** Unlock up to a 25% boost for higher Treasure Tiers. The maximum boost occurs at Tier 7 for every box, but only Tier 4 and above has a boost.

**Premium Boosts:** These are about PVP (player-vs-player) boosts earned by out-competing other players in the Defi game on a percentage basis.

## **Project History, Community, and Thesis**
Charts like this can be problematic…
They’re the result of a token supply that outpaces its long-term demand.
This is usually due to a lack of utility beyond finding another buyer at a higher price that you can sell to.
High-APR emissions paired with a big launch price create an incentive to be the first one in, and the first one out.
Because when supply outpaces demand—price goes down—fast.
We know this intimately because the chart above is a project many in our community were heavily involved with, SmarterCoin.
TRESR was born out of the adrenaline-soaked hysteria that took place in the 4th Quarter of 2021.

In 2021, Bajillion % APRs and APYs paired with unsound tokenomics met degenerate FOMO investing habits.
This created a pump-and-dump cycle unlike anything the crypto space had ever seen before, or may ever see again.
SmarterCoin, dubbed the “Squid Game of Crypto”, was an experiment in high-APR economics and what happens when APR increases by 1% every minute.
Many of us in the community joined SmarterCoin as complete crypto degenerates.
After a roller coaster experience, we came out the other side[ a little more knowledgeable](https://twitter.com/0xNFTreasure/status/1559582041074765824?s=20\&t=gDVKYgPrbproqa-_UrUFDQ) about how crypto economics actually work.
As a community, yes, we survived the high-APY bubble—but only just!
While still licking our wounds, we were looking for a better way to create sustainable rewards.

Our new project had to be something entirely new and completely separate.
**It was important that it was community-governed.**

A problem we saw was that crypto often incentivizes the most cynical zero-sum players.
So we continued to educate ourselves as a community, consult with the top minds in the space, and build in the direction of sustainability.
Charts like the one above can actually work to a community’s favor if the tokenomics are adjusted properly.
Defi tokens in price freefall are usually the result of infinitely high supply caps.
When a high-APR token supply hits its cap, though, and is paired with growing token demand...
That’s a recipe for what can only be called: a U-Shaped Recovery
Will every project that implements a supply cap and new utility hit this coveted U-Shape?
Absolutely not.
But that’s the carrot we’re reaching for.
A perfect balance of supply/demand equilibrium.
TRESR's tokenomics have been designed to weed out short-term thinkers while offering sustainable growth, long-term.
That means while $TRESR is in its inflationary phase, it's likely price will fall.
This is what high-APR tokens do.
But when $TRESR hits its token supply cap, then all bets are off.
Our goal is to build massive utility and volume by the time that cap is reached (sometime in Q3/Q4 of 2025).
**Our hard-fought thesis is that there are three things a crypto project must have to be successful long-term and keep its community happy:**
1. A token supply that is kept in check, often bootstrapped through GameFi incentives which produce more token demand than supply

Issuing GameFi rewards is a way to attract early-adopters and incentivize them to share the protocol with their friends. They’re a type of marketing that encourages network effects.
They can also go wildly wrong, as we’ve seen in the past when the tokenomics are not designed for proper supply/demand equilibrium and long-term growth.
Our Treasure Box game is designed to fairly distribute $TRESR tokens and reward our community. It does this in a way that is decentralized and gives the greatest benefit to long-term thinkers.
Yes, someone could sell all of their $TRESR at any time.
That might even make someone a tiny bit of profit, temporarily.
But the tokenomics of the Treasure Box DeFi loop and e-commerce commissions have been designed to incentivize those who think long-term and make meaningful creative contributions to the platform by creating interesting products & designs, while becoming engaged brand advocates.

## **Diamond Allocation Transfers with Diamond Keys**
One variable to consider is that ***Diamond Treasure Keys ***will denote the Diamond Allocation claim within their metadata on the Marketplace.
This means that the pre-mint allocation can only be claimed after the 180-day lockup by the wallet currently holding the Diamond Treasure Key.
If a Diamond Treasure Key has a claim on 0.5% of the Diamond Pre-Mint Allocation that will be indicated in its metadata and would represent \~210,843.595 $TRESR once the Allocation begins to vest.
Should this Diamond Key be sold, auctioned, or transferred, the Diamond Allocation claim or 210,843.595 $TRESR will transfer with the Key.
This should (in theory, not financial advice) equate to Diamond Keys fetching a premium in the secondary marketplace and/or deter Diamond Key holders from dumping their keys onto the secondary market early.
## **How It Will Work**
The Diamond Alloction claim will utilize a solution called Hedgey Finance.
***Here's how it will work:***
1. Zone 1 mint goes live
2. We create a list of all wallets who claimed during Zone 1 and the NFTs they minted (these are called "Diamond Keys")
3. A TRESR allocation is assigned to each Zone 1 Treasure Key based on how much JLP proportionally to all Diamonds wallets they had on Dec 17, 2021
4. 180 days after 1st Treasure Key mint date, we take a snapshot of wallets now holding Diamond Keys
5. Any wallet holding a Diamond Key (or multiple Diamond keys) will be whitelisted for that Key's TRESR allocation
6. Wallets with TRESR allocations for wallets that have NOT minted a Zone 1 Diamond Key within the first 90 days of gameplay WILL FORFEIT their Diamond TRESR allocation, and we will burn their proportional claim of TRESR (you must mint a Diamond Key within first 90 days to claim your TRESR allocation)
7. We upload this list into Hedgey with TRESR claim amounts and Hedgey streams the release of TRESR to each wallet over the next 180 days
We have 42,168,719 TRESR tokens allocated to the "Diamond TRESR Allocation" - the above plan means that if only 60% of Diamond Wallets mint a Treasure Key, that would mean that we will burn the TRESR allocation associated with the 40% of wallets that did not mint a Diamond Key by Day 180.
This allows us to fairly distribute and vest the Diamond TRESR allocation using a reputable project and contract, reducing TRESR supply to help the ecosystem in the long term, while incentivizing Zone 1 Key holders to HODL their keys or at a minimum list them for higher than mint fee (since all Zone 1 Diamond Keys represent an allocation of TRESR in the future).

## Mint a Treasure Key & Unlock $TRESR
### **$TRESR**
- Capped at: **468,541,325 $TRESR** but can be turned off earlier with a vote
- Cap likely to be hit between 12 and 48 months from initial minting of gameplay emissions
- There will be periodic votes to review the early capping of emissions if marketplace benchmarks are reached
- Initially, $TRESR can be earned through the Treasure Box Game and the Bonus Pool, which will adjust over time to incentivize healthy ecosystem behavior

### **$TRESR Allocation & Emissions Schedule**
- In total, the community controls nearly all of the tokens (90%) through Emissions, Liquidity, Diamond Allocations, and a Community-Governed Treasury
- 9% of supply has been awarded to our Diamond Hands community who have voted for a 180-day lock-up with 180 day vesting period
- 15% of the total $TRESR supply will live in the Treasury and be controlled by the community via on-chain proposals and voting
- As a percentage of the total maximum tokens, liquidity is small

This will require you to acquire at least 1 $TRESR token. Each key comes with 15 TRESR tokens that you can claim in the bottom right corner of your dashboard after minting (and more can be earned for free from our Zealy campaign missions).

Key Rewards Pool rewards are paid out on a “per key” basis.
A wallet can hold an unlimited number of Treasure Keys and there are incentives for holding multiple Keys.
Each key earns $TRESR rewards, assuming proper gameplay.
## Key Rewards Pool
259,241,313 $TRESR are allocated to the Key Rewards Pool.
180,000 of these were set aside for Diamond Hand Keys to claim at the start of the game.
Whenever this supply cap is reached, Key Rewards Pool emissions will stop.
However, the game will continue via the Bonus Rewards pool.
There is no time limit on how long the Treasure Box game will last. It will take as long as it takes.
We expect the Key Rewards Pool to last 12-48 months, depending on gameplay (it launched on Feb 28, 2024).
Each Treasure Key holder will activate their Key and attempt to open Treasure Boxes.
Treasure Boxes have seven Treasure Tiers. Each successful opening moves you up one Treasure Tier.
One player's actions do not impact any other player's outcome when opening Treasure Boxes.
The success or failure of each Treasure Box open attempt will depend on the effectiveness of each Treasure Key *(Key Level, Treasure Tier, base & veProbability)*.
This effectiveness is determined by a base probability and by your veProbability (see below).
Your total probability is your base probability plus a function veProbability up to a maximum of 90% (for chests 1-7)
At every Key Level, there are treasure boxes that are designed to be rewarding for the player.
Some players may choose to take more risk by opening higher boxes before their probability suggests they should. Don't succumb to your inner degen. Rise above it.
Keep eyes on your veTRESR balance. As your veProbability level rises, it becomes easier and more rewarding to open Treasure Boxes.
Treasure Boxes only payout $TRESR tokens.
In the future, things like additional tokens, NFTs, community chest cards, and more may be hidden inside Treasure Boxes at higher Treasure Tier levels. We will publicize these events when they occur.
Your base probability cannot be changed but your veProbability grows when you single-side stake $TRESR for veTRESR.
Players can earn more $TRESR rewards at higher Treasure Tiers and with higher Key Levels.
Each Treasure Tier has a countdown timer. You must open another Treasure Box successfully before this timer hits zero. If the countdown hits zero before you successfully open a Treasure Box, you will fall back one Treasure Tier.
If you fall all the way back down to a zero count below Treasure Tier 1, that Key will stop earning $TRESR. You must open a Treasure Box to begin earning $TRESR again from the Key Rewards Pool.
There is a specific allocation of $TRESR dedicated to the Key Rewards Pool. This means the Key Rewards pool has its own supply cap. Gameplay will continue until gross emissions reach that level (see token allocation chart below).
You earn $TRESR from the Key Rewards Pool based on three factors:
1. Key Level
2. Treasure Tier
3. veTRESR stake time via veProbability and Personal Probability of opening a Treasure Box
The Key Rewards Pool distributes $TRESR rewards on a per-key basis, meaning each key you hold in your wallet will have its own rewards calculation.
When you burn $SMRTR via the gameplay dashboard, you’re able to increase your Key Level.
## **Upgrading Your Key Level**
- Cost: 1,850 SMRTR \* Current Key Level ^ Squared
- Time Delay Before Next Upgrade: Current Key Level + 6 Hours
- i.e. after level up to Level 8, it takes 14 hours until you can move to Level 9
- The first three Key Levels are 1hr, 2hrs, & 3hrs, respectively

There is a time delay countdown in between each Key Level upgrade. This extends the gameplay for a longer period of time. It creates an incentive to log into the platform regularly.
Upgrading a Key is permanent. Your Key Level is indicated and transferred when a Treasure Key is sold.

**Opening Treasure Boxes is how you earn $TRESR in the Key Rewards Pool.**

You burn $TRESR to open Treasure Boxes
To open a Treasure Box you must burn $TRESR.
Based on the above probability formulas, your Treasure Box may or may not open.
Treasure Boxes have a probability of opening (remember: math game) that is based on each wallet’s veTRESR ratio and balance (see above). ***You’ll want to consider the expected cost to open vs. the expected rewards for each level.***
Single-sided staking of $TRESR earns veTRESR at a rate of 0.02 veTRESR per hour, per $TRESR staked.
There are 7 Treasure Tiers available to Treasure Keys, each with an associated countdown timer.
Each ascending Treasure Tier has a different $TRESR reward associated with it.
In addition to ascending rewards, Treasure Boxes also have ascending burn rates (or cost to open).

Remember, the Treasure Box game is designed to get you to start thinking like a successful crypto project lead.
While you can have a certain level of success by guessing or randomly opening Treasure Boxes, those rewards will be weighted in luck.
Luck is not the best way to be successful in crypto.
By learning the underlying math, you’ll start to think like a crypto project lead. You will ultimately, recognize when it is or is not the most optimal time to open a Treasure Box.

To add an additional layer of complexity (fun), some Treasure Boxes may not be profitable to open at certain points in the game.
This is because you must burn $TRESR to attempt to open a Treasure Box.
If the amount of $TRESR you expect to burn to open a box is more than the amount of $TRESR you earn, it will not be profitable to open the Treasure Box.
**Read this again ==> It may not always be profitable to open a Treasure Box.**
**That’s part of the game.**
This is why your veProbability is important. It determines the probability rate of successfully opening a Treasure Box.
The longer you have TRESR staked, the more likely it is that you will consistently open Treasure Boxes successfully on the first try.
Treasure Box rewards are based on your Key Level, Treasure Tier, and veProbability.

At TRESR, we have harnessed the power of Near Field Communication (NFC) technology to revolutionize the world of streetwear and merchandise authentication. ### **Authentication (Phase 1)**
The most basic but necessary functionality our private label NFC solution offers is authentication that a garment is verified as coming from TRESR's official print shop & facility. We've already seen imitations of many crypto project merchandise in cheap knock-off stores online. Projects partnered with TRESR can assure their community that the garment they receive is official, numbered for added uniqueness, and high-quality.
### **Limited Editions (Phase 1)**
If crypto and NFTs have taught us anything, it's that scarcity is a compelling way to create enthusiasm for your brand. TRESR offers the ability to create digitally numbered merchandise, limited to a small group of buyers. Once a customer receives their items in the mail, they scan the NFC chip to verify that the garment is authentic and showcase the edition number (i.e. #44 of #1,000). Since each NFC chip is a payment portal, backend experiences can be designed to easily distribute crypto tokens and NFTs. The TRESR product allows for segmentation by brand, creator, and category, and as a premium service, creators can offer everything from new NFT art, music albums, videos, reward sharing, or crypto token claims.
### **Spatially Aware Messaging (Project Y)**
We use zero-party data capture to make sure every customer only reveals data they wish to reveal. One thing this allows TRESR to do is to have customers opt-in to messages that are spatially aware. For customers who have opted into a program, users scan their NFC chip and their phone makes an approximation of where in the world they are. If a user happens to be within a unique geo-lasso, like an event center or store, the user can receive unique content for being inside the geo-lasso.
In this way, TRESR can create loyalty reward programs, or digital passports that issue a Proof of Attendance NFT when a user shows up to a specific event or location.
